Transportation Department Invests in 122 Railroad Improvement Projects – The Presidential Prayer Team
The Department of Transportation (DOT) announced that $2.4 billion has been allocated to 122 rail improvement projects across 41 states and Washington, D.C. Administered by the Federal Railroad Administration, the selected projects will tackle an array of improvements to U.S. rail service, including track upgrades, bridge rehabilitation, rail connection expansions, and locomotive modernization. The department stated that this is “the most significant investment in American rail in more than 50 years.”
“Through the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law, we’re funding rail infrastructure projects that create jobs and expand workforce development, reduce costs for consumers, and directly benefit communities across the country,” said Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg. “Each project advances a future where our supply chains are stronger, passenger rail more accessible, and freight movement safer and more efficient.”
